So, what's the verdict on Vista?
In the screenshots at this site, Vista looks (to me) like a cross between Gnome and KDE desktops: <http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase/winvista_beta1_gallery_01.asp> Actually Linux has taken plenty from windows since windows 95 was out. Mac, Windows, and Linux have each borrowed from each other... anyone who says

Vista UI Problems
He's not really taking into account that you can scale things really easily in Vista to make it however you want it. If this guy is from MS, how does he miss that option? If most of the world wants gigantic images to click on, great - and I'll probably be in that boat a few decades from now.

Disappointed by the eTrex Vista UI
EDU sci geo satellite-nav I recently had a chance of playing with the eTrex Vista. I had a very bad impression of the UI. It feels extremely cumbersome to navigate around. The joystick was hard to use, a lot of times I did the 'press' when I meant to do the directional key. The context menu was so hard to find that

Money Plus - Vista UI?
I just recently started using Vista (clean install, yes I applied the SP1 VS2005 patch) and have noticed a rather annoying UI quirk with the VS2005 IDE. A very very thick dark gray obnoxious line appears under the tabs when a code window is active. Restoring the window (from maximized to normal for instance) fixes

Disappointed by the eTrex Vista UI
Personally I strongly prefer the Vista UI over the XP UI. In fact, I've always hated the patronising, Fisher Price look (and sound!) of XP. Of course you can switch all the crap off in XP and make it look like W2K, but you can do that with Vista, too. Although this is off-topic, I also prefer the new Office UI to
